The first Danish non-fiction book on Moral Injury.
Drawing on international research and practical experience, the book explores the psychological, moral, existential, and spiritual dimensions of Moral Injury. It also examines pathways towards hope, healing, and recovery.
In the book, Synne Garff reflects on encounters with people affected by war, displacement, grief, and trauma. Drawing on her international work with the Trauma Healing Institute (THI) Method, she shares stories of hope, healing, and resilience from different parts of the world.
Part memoir and part professional reflection, the book offers an introduction to the THI Method and its role in helping people process loss and trauma through biblical reflection and group-based healing.
"This is not a theoretical presentation of the method. It is Synne Garff's personal account of how the THI Method brings hope and healing—and a compelling testimony to its impact."
Steen Skovsgaard, Bishop Emeritus
Psychological thriller
One crash changes everything.
On her forty-ninth birthday, Baroness Anna von Holstein receives a gift containing a chilling death threat. The following day, she survives a devastating car accident that tears her life apart. In the aftermath, Anna struggles with grief and anger as she is drawn into a secret network campaigning to legalise assisted dying in Denmark. There, compassion, ideology, and hidden agendas prove impossible to separate. As events spiral out of control, she must confront painful questions about the value of human life – and discover who wants her dead.
A gripping Nordic psychological thriller exploring grief, manipulation and the ethics of medically assisted dying.
The novel has inspired lectures and public conversations on assisted dying and medical ethics.
